According to Ms. Graven-Milne, there’s a good reason that the Saris Mighty Mite Rack ($140) and similar designs are “bike shop classics.” It’s a sturdy floor stand that’s perfect for families with children or anyone who might struggle to lift a bike off the ground. The rack can accommodate up to six bikes, assembles without a drill and, unlike some single-bike floor racks, stays anchored when you roll bikes on and off. Admittedly, it’s no looker, but its utilitarian design might appeal to minimalists. Others can just stick it in the garage where they’ll never need to look at it.
